Location: Out At Sea, Part II

My apologies for the late update, but the first two weeks of school had me swamped with homework and stress and a sinus infection, rendering me unable to type up this report until now. This session took place at Ashley's home once again after school on Monday the 27th until about 5pm.

With all of the pieces in place for the mutiny, Casamir took a short rest in the brig to regain a few of the hit points lost in the battle. Haley woke him up for the dinner meal, which The Chef had agreed to sabotage to weaken the yuan-ti.

In the middle of dinner, a shriek came from the officer's dining hall, and Casamir and his allies ran down the hallway to investigate. Attempting to be stealthy, Casamir tried to peek through the door left ajar, but instead pushed the door open. The assorted halfblood officers were doubled over, choking and hissing in pain, while the yuan-ti abomination captain looked alarmed and was presumably the source of the scream. The Captain correctly accused Casamir of planning this.

Casamir's brilliant, low-Charisma response was: "...no I didn't." At which point, all of the characters rolled for initiative.

For simplicity's sake, the NPCs' stats are thus: Haley and Daniel both wield 1d6+2 shortswords with +2 to their attack rolls. Vokka has a +3 to his attack and does 1d10+2 damage with his axe. Gunther also has a +3 to his attack with a flintlock pistol, which he can fire twice and do 2d6+2 damage for each attack. Toothless, with his sickle, has +2 attack and 2d4+2 damage. I also restricted the halfbloods to their Type One variations on the given PDF and only used their Scimitar attack throughout the battle. I also restricted the abomination to using his Scimitar attack.

With the five NPCs aiding Casamir and the abomination having five cronies of his own, the pattern of combat quickly became repeated and slightly unwieldy, until at last our time was up but the battle had yet to be actually completed. Casamir and his allies had all dropped about 20 hit points but they had eliminated one of the halfbloods. The abomination and the other yuan-ti were all down to about the 30 hit point mark, which via my executive Dungeon Master Power I deem to be sufficiently defeated so that next session may open with Casamir either throwing them in the brig or throwing them overboard for dead.

Tomorrow I will be meeting with Makenna and Meagan and so we will continue their story for the first time in almost three weeks.
